Abstract
Demographic change in Europe - in search of new policies and strategies
Since the effects of demographic change in Europe are both omnipresent and discussed in many circles of experts the main future issue can be identified as the interlinkage of demographic and urban-regional policies.
Although there can be identified several european, national, regional and local initiatives, the spatial view is still missing.
In this area of conflict a few future issues can be identified:
Understand the specific local challenges of demographic change in European countries
Incorporate issues of demographic change into urban strategies
